Copy shop meets bike shop

SOUTH ST.—Fresh Copy, the struggling independent photocopy and office supply shop, has been taken over by the Ferris Wheels Bike Shop next door.

The space at 64 South St. will mostly serve as an office for the bicycle store. But, Ferris said, he will continue offering copy shop services to the public for the next couple of months. If the demand exists, the shop will remain open.

“Shop local,” Ferris reminded Jamaica Plain residents.

Fresh Copy was started a few years ago as a spin-off of the Fresh Hair salon next door on the other side. Former owner Joy Silverstein of Fresh Hair previously told the Gazette that the copy business was struggling to stay open.
